Camille Pic — cycling coach and cycling media host

I am a certified cycling coach and cycling media host, co-founder of GLOW Bike School.

After fifteen years working in communication — first in luxury, then in sport — I chose in 2023 to redirect my professional life toward the field and knowledge transmission.

Based in Chamonix, I develop my work at the crossroads of cycling coaching and media, telling cycling as I live it: through real-world experience and time spent on the bike.
I am a cycling columnist for France Télévisions, and regularly contribute to podcasts such as Tous en Selle and Dans la Tête d’un Cycliste, promoting an accessible, demanding and deeply human vision of cycling.

« Hard choices, easy life.
Easy choices, hard life. »

My vision

My vision of cycling is built on simple values: learning by doing, sharing with sincerity, and creating spaces where every woman can find her own place.

Published books

I have published several books dedicated to cycling and sports practice, released by FIRST and SOLAR publishing houses.

These publications extend my field work and teaching approach, making cycling more accessible, readable and inclusive for a wide audience.

background, values and approach

Cycling was not always my profession.

Today, I move between the field and the media. This dual role — teaching and telling — shapes my professional identity and allows me to approach cycling in all its dimensions: sporting, technical, cultural and social.

What I clearly refuse is sacrificing the quality of transmission for volume.

I choose projects aligned with my values, where meaning, experience and human connection come first.

For fifteen years, I worked in communication, first in luxury, then in sport. A demanding and structured environment, but one that gradually moved away from what I was truly looking for. At a very specific moment, I realised that real life was happening outdoors, on the field, through lived and shared experiences.

In 2023, I made the clear decision to become a cycling coach. A conscious choice, with no plan B. I have never regretted it.

The field became my main point of reference.

It taught me one essential thing: practice is everything. Learning, trying, making mistakes — including bike mechanics — is part of the process. There is no progression without the right to fail, and no confidence without kindness.

My teaching approach is deeply connected to who I am. I live cycling, breathe cycling and share cycling. I have put almost all my friends and a large part of my family on bikes. This is not a posture — it is a genuine passion, often described as contagious.

Through my experiences — coaching in clubs, leading camps, collaborating with brands, bike shops and manufacturers, and also as an athlete — one observation became clear: women are still largely underrepresented in cycling, regardless of age.

This observation led to the creation of GLOW Bike School, which I co-founded with my friend Lucile Michel, also a certified cycling coach. Together, we wanted to create women-focused learning environments that are supportive, demanding and empowering

Need to tell stories

Over time, the field naturally gave rise to another need: to tell stories.
To put words on what I was observing — the barriers, the breakthroughs and the transformations that cycling creates for women.

Thanks to my background in communication, I naturally moved into editorial and media formats. Today, I work as a cycling media host and columnist, notably for France Télévisions, and through podcasts such as Tous en Selle and Dans la Tête d’un Cycliste.

This media work is a direct extension of my field experience and my collaborations with cycling and outdoor brands such as Liv Cycling, Peppermint Cycling, Vaude and LCL, through the Le Maillot Jaune program.

My voice is also expressed during professional events and industry gatherings, such as the Race Across France, where I contribute to storytelling and event animation, as well as within training institutions like the CREPS Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
Public speaking is, for me, a natural extension of teaching and editorial work — never an end in itself.

An international commitment

I am also a board member of IMBA Europe, a leading European organisation dedicated to the development and protection of mountain biking. This role reflects my commitment to contributing, beyond my personal projects, to the long-term evolution of the sport.

I work and speak fluently in both French and English, in local as well as international contexts.
